Pinal County Greens Urge Americans to Listen to Jill Stein's "People's State of the Union" on January 25

Apache Junction, Ariz., Jan. 6 -

Today the Pinal County Greens passed a resolution urging Americans to listen to Dr. Jill Stein's "People's State of the Union" on January 25, following President Obama's State of the Union address to Congress.

Dr. Stein, a candidate for the presidential nomination of the Green Party, will present a response to the President's speech. As her campaign website notes,
You’ll hear a realism about America’s situation – and the ways to overcome it – that Wall Street an the Washington establishment don’t want you talking about. We can have an economy that provides jobs for everyone without depressing wages or destroying the environment. We can get Wall Street off our backs and win control of our lives and common future.

Through this special online broadcast, you will hear presidential candidate Jill Stein describe the Green New Deal that can reclaim our future and fulfill the promise of America. Lines will be open for your questions and ideas. All you need is an internet connection and a computer.

Richard Grayson, co-chair of the Pinal County Greens, called upon Arizonans and normal people to hold "Green house parties" to participate in the People's State of the Union. "Let's celebrate!" said Grayson.
