Pinal County Greens Commend KJZZ/Fronteras for Series on "Beyond Sprawl: Rethinking the Southwestern Economy"

Apache Junction, Dec. 5 -

The Pinal County Greens today passed a resolution commending public radio station KJZZ 91.5 and Fronteras for the just-concluded series, "Beyond Sprawl: Rethinking the Southwestern Economy."

"This series was an informative, intelligent look at how the Valley of the Sun and other communities across the Sun Belt can use the housing bust as an opportunity for smarter, greener urban planning," said Richard Grayson, Pinal County Greens co-chair. "We honor KJZZ and Fronteras for their positive contributions to the community's discussions about our future."

The Pinal County Greens are members of the Arizona Green Party in what is -- or was -- America's second-fastest-growing county, according to the 2010 census.
